Mr. Danny Willingham, Chairman of the Georgia Corn Commission and Mr. Rodney Harrell, Board member and President of the Georgia Corn Growers Association represented the Georgia corn growers as the Georgia delegates to the Commodity Classic Corn Congress recently held in Nashville, TN. This year’s Commodity Classic surpassed all previous turnout records with a total of 6,014 attendees. Over 960 exhibitors were on-hand to share and exhibit their products to growers.
In his third appearance before the General Session, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack discussed the importance of an adequate crop insurance program and spoke to the passage of a Farm Bill this year.
Next year, the Commodity Classic will be held February 28 to March 2 in Kissimmee, Fla.
